1.15 Chapter 42~[Part 2]

''For the last time Elena, I have no idea who those girls are'' Samantha said for the fifth time.

We were walking down one of the cities cluttered streets. I was deep in thought. If Samantha didn't know who those girls where, then those girls must have nothing to do about what Samantha warned me about. If that was true, then who where they? I shivered as the girls torn up face flashed before my eyes once again. For some reason, I knew that girl meant something. But what?

''Elena, how did you meet these girls? What where they doing?'' Samantha said, staring at me.

''They were skipping around in the street…why?'' I asked, looking her in the eye.

Samantha shook her head and rolled her eyes, ''I think I know who they are now, it's probably Emily, she likes messing with people's heads, and obviously she thought your head was the easiest to mess with''

I groaned, ''Great, now I have this creepy girl messing around with my head, can things get any worse?''

''Umm actually yes they can, once Emily finds a mind that she can mess with, she slowly drives the person insane, which means that you could become a maniac within a day, that is unless you catch her and stop her'' Samantha explained.

I wanted to scream. Samantha couldn't be serious, it was enough just looking for food everyday and dealing with the zombies, and now I had to go hunting for a creepy girl?!

Samantha must have seen the expression on my face, ''Well if you hate it that much, we should start looking for her now..''

I nodded, might as well get it over with….

I groaned and opened my eyes. Turned out I was laying on the floor, again. All of that was a dream? It seemed so real. Was I even visiting Samantha in real life? Did I really see those girls? I flinched as I slowly got to my feet, my back began to hurt. Suddenly the door burst open and Jason came running in.

''Elena! Quick, hide!'' He yelled and slammed the door shut, locking it.

''What? Why?!'' I argued, looking at him in confusion and fear.

''Just do it! I'll tell you later!'' Jason yelled just as there was a bang on the door. He pressed against the door and looked at me, ''Get under the bed Elena..''

I nodded and crawled under the bed. Jason stop pressing against the door and crawled under the bed beside me. The door burst open and I watched as three men walked in. I could only see their boots, but with three sets of boots I knew there was at least three people. I heard them talking and listened closely to what they were saying.

''She has to be in this house somewhere…'' A man said.

''Yes, but we've already searched every room..'' Another man said.

''We need to find her before it's too late, do you have any idea what Richtofen will do to us?'' Yet another man said.

I stiffened at the name. Instantly I knew why these men where here, they were after me. I shivered and watched as they walked out of the room.

''Stay here…'' Jason whispered and crawled out from under the bed. He slowly walked out of the room and was out of sight. I listened closely, ready to run out if I heard so much as a scream. There was dead silence for a few moment and then Jason walked back in the room.

''You can come out now Elena…'' He said.

I crawled out from under the bed and got to my feet, ''Who where those guys?''

''I'm not sure, but they're on Richtofen's side, which means they're after you..'' Jason replied.

I groaned slightly, ''Like I haven't noticed that..where are the others?''

''Right here..'' Dempsey walked into the room followed by Takeo and Nikolai.

''Where were you guys?'' Jason asked.

''We ran out the back door once we saw those men come in..'' Takeo replied.

''What do they want that's so important to interrupt my sleep?'' Nikolai grumbled.

''They want Elena…'' Jason said quietly, looking at me.

''What? Why?'' Dempsey asked.

''Their working with Richtofen, me and Jason were hiding under the bed and we heard them talk about finding me and bringing me to Richtofen'' I said quietly.

I didn't really want to talk about it, but what choice did I have? I was pretty much stuck in too different worlds right now. The world in my dreams, with Samantha, and the world with a bunch of men after me.

''Well then, all we have to do is keep those men away from Elena, simple'' Nikolai said, annoyance in his voice.

''It sure doesn't sound that simple…'' Takeo said quietly.

''Let's just get out of here..we need to find a safer place…'' Dempsey said, walking out of the room.

Takeo sighed, ''I guess he's right…come on…'' He said, walking out the door.

''Ugh, another stupid hike..'' Nikolai grumbled, following Takeo.

Me and Jason followed them out the front door of the house.

''Where should we go?'' Takeo asked, looking around.

''Just somewhere safer, and more hidden..'' Dempsey replied and started walking down the cluttered street.

The others followed him and I lagged behind. I wanted to be alone, alone with my thoughts. My mind was instantly filled with panic. I stopped walking and closed my eyes, trying to clear my mind. My hands started to shake, I felt something or someone coming.

''Elena?'' I heard Takeo say my name but didn't respond.

I opened my eyes suddenly and turned around. I spotted a truck zooming down the street up ahead. It was heading straight for Takeo at a terrifying speed. At first I was stiff with shock and panic. I couldn't move. The truck was now alarmingly close to Takeo. Without thinking I stepped in front of Takeo and stared at the truck, as if commanding it to stop. The truck continued to race towards me until I heard a loud screech. The truck started drifting side to side but still it was racing for me. I closed my eyes and held my breath. The last thing I heard was a loud screech..
